Thanks for your interest in my photography.  I'd like to give you a little idea about who I am.

I've been shooting for 15 years, first in editorial and documentary (I was a Producer on the Academy Award winning documentary, Into the Arms of Strangers, Stories of the Kindertransport as well as the photographer of the contemporary photos for the companion book and film) and then, after my move back to Atlanta from Los Angeles, as a wedding and portrait photographer.  I've photographed over 200 weddings in the metro Atlanta and greater Georgia area as well as a number of destination weddings.

My approach to photography is simple - knowing my craft inside and out and using the best equipment so I can be free to shoot whatever works best for the moment - artistry, photojournalism, portraiture or just plain fun.  To my eye, it takes all of those styles to photograph a wedding effectively and I use every single one at all my weddings, even the hourly ones.

I truly enjoy the couples I work with and find it an honor to be present at such a momentous occasion in their lives.  In fact, I've gone back many times to photograph the little ones of my couples as they come along.  It's life affirming to see the cycle of love continue, see couples become parents and see families as they grow.

I'm a firm believer in the power of love and it's ability to transform the human spirit.  However that love plays out in your life, be it with a partner of the same gender or the opposite one, I fully support and celebrate your union and your right to marry.

I've put my experience into a book on wedding planning, The Insider's Guide to Wedding Planning.  As you can imagine, I've seen a lot in my time shooting weddings and I have a good idea what looks good and what makes a wedding run smoothly.  The brides who've read it tell me the practical step by step guide is very helpful!

I was born and raised in Ringgold, a north Georgia suburb of Chattanooga, TN and graduated from Agnes Scott College before heading west to California where I lived for 22 years.  I now live happily with my husband of 12 years, Matt Olson, in East Lake, near Decatur.  We share our 100 year old house with 3 dogs - Nimbus, Puck and Blaze and wouldn't have it any other way.

I look forward to meeting you!

Best,

Cayce
